These oriental bazaars, with their labyrinthine alleys and stalls overflowing with exotic spices, sumptuous textiles and rare treasures, offered a veritable feast for the senses. The captivating scent of saffron, often nicknamed “oriental gold”, permeated the air, saturating the atmosphere with its precious and intense notes.
The top notes open with a spicy freshness, combining cardamom, clove and saffron, evoking an initial immersion in these vibrant markets.
