Gourmand and fruity is how Gritti’s Duchessa extrait the perfume, launched in 2020, presents itself. It has an above average odour duration and sillage. The fragrance was designed by Gritti for men and women. The top notes are characterized by the aromas of sour cherry with bitter orange, peach and saffron blossom. The heart note is spicy and combines star anise and cloves with white flowers and jasmine. Iris, patchouli, cane sugar and almonds form the basis. Extrait de Parfum Duchessa was developed according to an old recipe from the Gritti family. And today, like 500 years ago, the fragrance inspires with its elegance.
It’s been around for centuries
And today, the scents of the Grittis are still as present as ever. Alvese Gritt, an ancestor of the family, lived and worked as a perfumer in 16th-century Venice. His descendants, of course, still live there, because they are part of the long-established aristocracy of Venice. If this kind of experience is not characteristic of the House of Gritti, then the quality of the smells is, as is the case with Extrait de Parfum Duchessa. Selected components lead to a noble and very special smell, who might take a little courage from the gentlemen.
