Description
Gelsomino is a love story, the story of love at first sight between the Grand Duke of Tuscany, Cosimo III de’ Medici, and his “Stufa dei Mugherini”.
The fragrance is a tribute to Sambac Jasmine, the Duke’s favorite flower, which arrived from Goa in 1688. He had a hot jasmine greenhouse built in the Villa Medici in Castello and banned its cultivation throughout the kingdom. Gelsomino Eau de Parfum brings this history into our daily lives, opening with notes of bergamot in the top note. In the heart, jasmine bursts into an explosion of intoxicating rose and tuberose flowers, and finally rests on a bed of musk and vanilla.
