Originally created as a Venusian ode to the fate of Madame Butterfly, Honor Woman (2011) is a devotion to poetry, beauty and femininity. A decade later, presented in a perfume oil concentration of 43%, Honor 43 Woman is the lofty interpretation of perfumer Alexandra Carlin of Amouage’s intoxicating white floral perfume. The white flowers – Jasmine, Tuberoos, Gardenia, Lily-of-the-valleys – have been taken to new heights and have undergone a slow but active aging process, leaving each fragile nut alive and mind-boggling, brutal and youthful. The four floral essences continue to evolve and are enlarged: older and richer, yet more energetic. This is the confusing paradox of Honor 43 Woman and it makes the sensory experience completely different.
